The Stars improve to 4-1 on the season by defeating Novi Christian 51-41.

The first quarter consisted of a series of offensive runs for each team. After each team scored a 3 point shot to start the game, SCA went on a 8-2 run to take an 11-5 lead. Novi Christian battled back, scoring the next consecutive 6 points to tie the game at 11. The remainder of the first quarter was the see-saw battle and it was locked up at 16 a piece to end the first quarter.

The defense on both sides tightened up during the second quarter. The Stars outscored Novi Christian 9-5 in the quarter and took a 25-21 lead into halftime. SCA got 4 points off the bench from Claire McClorey in this quarter.

Novi Christian came out in the third quarter and quickly scored 4 points to tie the game. Olivia Skown answered back with her second 3 point completion of the game. SCA went on a 17-7 run and was leading 45-32 at the end of the third quarter.

Once again, Novi Christian started the fourth quarter by scoring the first 4 points. Haley Gustad scored the next 3 consecutive points to regain a 12 point advantage. Novi Christian scored the next 5 points to get within 7 points but would not get any closer.

Maryann Alexander led the team with 15 points. Haley Gustad added 8 points and Olivia Skown scored 7.

The Stars will travel to Parkway Christian over Christmas break to compete in their Christmas Tournament.
