The Stars went on the road for the first time this season and defeated Everest Academy by the score of 59-37.

SCA had a slow start to game and found themselves trailing 5-0. The Stars then came to life and scored the next 5 consective points to tie the game. SCA continued to put pressure on and finished the quarter on a 6-4 run. The Stars led 11-9 and never looked back from that point.

Offensively, the Stars owned the second quarter. Lizzy Turek knocked down four, three point shots and Haley Gustad was right behind her with two, three point shots. SCA outscored Everest 21-6 in the second quarter and went into halftime with a 32-15 advantage.

For most of the second half, the Stars maintained a 17 point advantage. Offensively, the scoring was balanced, with 9 girls scoring. Defensively, the Stars kept the pressure on and was able to force some turnovers. Overall, it was a good team win with everyone contributing.

Lizzy Turek led the team with 19 points. Haley Gustad added 14 points.

The Stars improve their record to 3-1 and will face Franklin Road Christian on Thursday.
