The Stars improves to 6-8 on the season with a 35-12 win over Ann Arbor Greenhills.
SCA dominated the game from start to finish. Gabby Green hit a 3 point shot to take the early 3-0 lead. Grace Gulowski took the ball strong to the basket, made the shot and was fouled. She made her free throw to make it a 6-0 game. Greenhills answered right back with a 3 point shot, but 6-3 would be the closest they would get to catching the Stars. SCA finished the first half by outscoring Greenhills 13-3 and took a 19-6 lead into halftime.
The second half went equally as well for the Stars. The third quarter began with a 8-0 run for SCA. Defensively, they held Greenhills to only 2 points in the third quarter, while scoring 10 points. It was 29-8 heading into the fourth quarter.
The highlight of the fourth quarter was when Olivia Skown, who played for the first time this season due to ACL surgery, knocked down a shot from the baseline. In addition, Talia Smerage and Bryce Burke each contributed a basket.
SCA had 11 players score. The team was led by Grace Gulowski with 8 points. Maryann Alexander scored 5 points.
