JV Volleyball Update from Friday, 10/6/2017
Saint Catherine Stars defeat Regina in straight sets on Homecoming!

The Saint Catherine Stars JV Volleyball Team was in action Friday night for their Homecoming Match against the visitors from Regina High School. The Stars defeated Regina in two straight sets, 25-22 and 25-19, finishing this week of volleyball going 3-0 in Match play, 6-0 in sets. There were times the girls struggled on the court Friday evening but it is important to point out that they came together and found a way to win, which is one of the trademarks of a great team!

The Stars overcame a slow start in Set-1, falling behind by 6-points but managed to find enough rhythm towards the end of the set to earn the win 25-22. In Set-2, the girls had a slightly better start going back and forth with Regina early on but near the midway point of the set they began to pull away from their opponents, and went on to win the set 25-19.

Our next match is away against Lutheran North, Tuesday, 10/10 starting at 5:30 PM. If you did not know, this match will determine the League Champions for JV Volleyball! Both teams are undefeated and I’m looking forward to a great match! Hope to see everyone there cheering our Team on!
